Sales process

Sell at Morton Subastas in 5 easy steps

Our expert team supports you every step of the way, making it easy, fast, and safe to sell your special piece.

1. Initial valuation

Send us information and photographs of your piece through our online form or by mail. Our specialists will review your object and provide you with a free estimate.

2. Consignment and contract

If you accept the estimate and decide to commit with us, we will agree on the details in a consignment contract. We will advise you on the most suitable auction for your item (whether it's a specialty auction or our weekly Saturday Auction) and define a competitive starting price.

3. Catalogue and exhibition

Your piece will be professionally catalogued. If it is part of a specialized auction, it will appear in our printed and digital catalog; if you go to a weekly auction, it will be listed in the corresponding digital catalog. We organize pre-auction exhibitions where buyers can see the lots in person, highlighting interest in their object.

4. The auction

It's the big day! Our professional auctioneers will present your piece in the auction room (with live bidding, by phone and online). Thanks to our promotion, there will be multiple interested buyers competing. You can attend the event or follow it live on our platform.

5. Results and payment

At the end of the auction, we will notify you of the hammer price reached for your piece (the final sale price). If it is sold, we will coordinate with you the payment of the settlement within the agreed time. In the extraordinary event that the piece is not sold, we will advise you on options: re-entry into future auctions or return of the piece.
