How to participate?

Come to our auction room at Monte Athos 179, register and participate. There is no need for an invitation or dress code; admission is open to the public.
By telephone
Call us to leave a bid for the lot you are interested in and we will do it for you or if you prefer, we will call you during the auction to make your bids by phone.
Online
Sign up online and make your offers from your cell phone, tablet or computer. Leave an offer for the lot you are interested in or connect live and participate as if you were in the living room.

French Furniture Styles
French furniture styles were born as a direct reflection of their monarchs and courtly life. Under the reigns of Henry II and Henry IV, the foundations of classical elegance were established, with Italian influences and a taste for symmetry. Later, the Regency period (1715–1723) marked a transition toward lighter, more fluid furnishings, moving away from Baroque rigidity. With the reigns of the Louis monarchs, furniture reached its greatest splendor: the style of Louis XIV was monumental and lavish, created to glorify the king; that of Louis XV embraced sensual curves and Rococo ornamentation, designed for intimacy and comfort; while the style of Louis XVI returned to classical order, with straight lines and motifs inspired by antiquity. In this way, each style not only adorned palaces but also narrated the evolution of taste, politics, and French society through the centuries.
