Latin American Art Auction

Latin American art, more than a style, is a plural phenomenon, woven through the convergence of identities, geographies, and visions that reflect the political, social, and aesthetic diversity of the continent. Its expressive force and its ability to reinvent itself in the face of global changes have positioned Latin American production as an essential presence on the international stage.

This edition celebrates that vitality with a selection of 94 lots, bringing together the work of 65 artists, representing different moments, schools, and languages.

A highlight is Rufino Tamayo, with an intimate portrait of Olga Flores Rivas, a key figure in his career, where personal sensitivity and technical mastery merge in a work of profound emotional resonance. Alongside it, the Codex Laud by Miguel Covarrubias reflects the vision of a researcher and creator who reinterprets the Mesoamerican legacy through a modern lens.

The Oaxacan school of painting is represented by works of Rodolfo Morales, Sergio Hernández, and Francisco Toledo, exponents of a tradition that has shaped contemporary Mexican visual identity.

Contemporary art finds resonance in the proposals of Armando Romero, Amador Montes, and Miguel Castro Leñero, together with key names from the Latin American scene such as Ana Mercedes Hoyos, Alfredo Alcalde García, and Edgar Negret, whose works intertwine color, symbol, and structure.

This auction invites collectors and the public alike to discover the visual and conceptual richness of Latin America—a territory where each work bears witness to the persistent creative energy of a region that continues to inspire the world.
