First Antiques and Books Auction 2026

Antiques and Books Auction - From past segments into a new year
We begin the year by celebrating the passion for collecting. From the Antiques and Books Department, we present our first auction of the year—an invitation to start 2026 surrounded by history.
In the religious painting section, a remarkable work by Cristóbal de Villalpando stands out: Saint Joseph Asks the Virgin for Forgiveness, published in the artist’s catalogue raisonné. This section is rounded out with oils by Antonio de Torres and an imposing Saint Catherine of Alexandria. Tradition and symbolism also meet the force of national history: charro suits once worn by the iconic Luis Aguilar, as well as uniforms and decorations in our militaria section.
Among the pieces that grace this auction is an exceptional 19th-century Mexican snuffbox in 18-karat gold, decorated with enamel from the Order of Guadalupe (first period) and diamonds—traditionally linked by legend to Emperor Agustín de Iturbide.
The journey continues with bibliographic treasures such as Antonio García Cubas’s Atlas pintoresco and culminates with a refined selection of European furniture, ready to bring new life to any space.
A new year deserves pieces that make it unforgettable. Welcome to the first great appointment of 2026, where history changes hands—and begins to become part of yours.
